Provincial Grand Chapter of Somerset

It is with great pleasure that I welcome you to the website of the Holy Royal Arch Chapter of Somerset. I hope you will find it both interesting and informative.

The Royal Arch is the final part of the four stage journey from Initiation to Exaltation that is known as ‘Pure Antient Masonry’. Every Master Mason of at least four weeks standing is eligible to join. It provides the spiritual dimension to the Craft, with which it is inextricably associated. Within the website I hope you will find answers to all those questions that you have about the Holy Royal Arch. Please take the time to investigate the Somerset Provincial Grand Chapter and the 28 Royal Arch Chapters within the Province. Read the news stories and explore the history of this ultimate degree in Freemasonry.

To those members of the Craft who visit the website and are not yet Companions of the Holy Royal Arch I invite you to come and join us, you will derive great enjoyment from the degree and will find true companionship together with good fun.

We look forward to welcoming you.

Barry K Woodside
Grand Superintendent, in and over, the Province of Somerset
