Clive Lambert

Deputy Provincial Grand Superintendent

Clive was born in Shepton Mallet and educated locally. He started work in IT in 1981 working for St. Ivel for 8 years, followed by 19 years at Somerfield Stores, and currently works for Capita ITES where he has worked since 2007.

He was initiated into Kenneth Kinnersley Lodge No 9218 at Midsomer Norton in 2002, and was installed as WM in 2008. Clive was also the WM of both Royal Somerset Lodge No 973 and Forest of Selwood Lodge No 8912 in 2014, and is currently the SW of the Lodge of Paul’s Wharf No 8731 which meets in London. He is also a joining member of Somerset Installed Masters’ Lodge No 3746, and the City of London Lodge of Installed Masters No 8220. He was Provincial Junior Grand Deacon for Somerset in 2014.

Clive was exalted into Connaught Chapter No 3573 at Midsomer Norton in 2003 and was MEZ of this Chapter in 2011. He is also a joining Companion of Somerset First Principals Chapter No 3746. In the Provincial Grand Chapter of Somerset, Clive was appointed as Provincial 2nd Assistant Sojourner in 2014,  promoted to 3rd Principal in 2016 and 2nd Principal in 2017 then as Deputy Grand Superintendent in September 2018. Clive is also a member of several side degrees including Rose Croix, Mark, Royal Ark Mariners, Knights Templar, Red Cross of Constantine, and SRIA.

Outside of Freemasonry Clive is interested in all forms of motoring and motorsport, and is a Liveryman of the Worshipful Company of Carmen. The City of London Livery Company for transport. He has also spent many years weightlifting where he has competed nationally, and internationally, in powerlifting, benchpress, and strongman competitions.
