Brief resume of Parrett & Axe Holy Royal Arch Chapter
The Chapter began life when it was consecrated on Friday October 28th 1921 in Crewkerne Town Hall. In 1933 Parrett & Axe Lodge purchased the building in South Street where the Lodge and the chapter both meet today. The Chapter has recently celebrated its Centenary year in October 2021 and we look forward to next century of enjoying the Royal Arch at Crewkerne!
The Parrett & Axe Chapter membership is primarily fed from three Craft Lodges, the Parrett & Axe Lodge No. 814 Crewkerne, the Nyanza Lodge No. 1197 Ilminster and the Prudence & Industry Lodge No. 1953. We are fortunate to have support from Dorset members who have strayed across the border and for joining members who have located to the area. We meet on the fourth Tuesday of September (Installation meeting), November, January, March and May and tyle at 6.30 pm. With over fifty members we enjoy our Chapter meetings in a relaxed but focused atmosphere and with great camaraderie at the Festive Board. We are always seeking new members who are referred to as Companions to complete their journey in freemasonry by taking their “fourth” degree. You will discover those long-lost secrets by being exalted into the Royal Arch. For those seeking to further their masonic journey then please contact your Lodge Royal Arch representative in the first instance or contact the Parrett & Axe Chapter Scribe E, E Comp David Wakely at firstname.lastname@example.org and we will be pleased to answer any questions or to assist your application where you will be assured of a warm and friendly welcome and discover the revelation of becoming a Companion will reveal.
