Information and History:
Exmoor Chapter was consecrated on 13th June 1912 by Colonel William Long, who was not only the Grand Superintendent for Somerset in the Royal Arch, but was also Provincial Grand Master for Somerset in both the Craft and Mark degrees.

The first officers were G Henry (Z), T Andrews (H), E Culverwell (J), Count Hochberg (Treasurer), W Rhodda (Scribe E), C Blackford (Scribe N), R V Awdry (Principal Sojourner), C P Moore and A J H Iles (Assistant Sojourners), E P Kite (DC), who together with E Comps Orwin & Meynell were the founders. The Masonic Hall rent at the time was £5. The exaltation fee was 3 guineas and the subscription 1 guinea.

The centenary meeting of the Chapter was celebrated in 2012, and at that meeting the new Banner was dedicated. It depicts a stag. Exmoor Lodge also has a stag on its lodge banner, so the indissoluble link between the Craft and Royal masonry is continued.
